2006 Cascadia Mayors Council Meeting
Surrey, British Columbia

The annual meeting of the Cascadia Mayors Council was hosted by the City of Surrey, B.C. and Mayor Dianne Watts. This year we had an exciting program centered on public safety, border issues, the 2010 Olympics and renewable energy.

In addition, Whistler Mountaineer, in partnership with the City of Surrey, the City of North Vancouver, the Corporation of Delta and the Resort Municipality of Whistler put together a wonderful train trip through the Sea to Sky region from North Vancouver to Whistler. The mayors took a gondola trip up Whistler Mountain, accompanied by personal tour guides, where they were treated to a luncheon hosted by Whistler Mayor Ken Melamed.
