A Tale of Three Cities
Transportation Sucess Stories From San Diego, Denver and Vancouver, B.C.
The Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Cascadia Center of Discovery Institute, invites you to be a part of this exciting Community Breakfast entitled A Tale of Three Cities: Transportation Success Stories from San Diego, Denver and Vancouver B.C.
We're all aware of the many critical transportation challenges facing the Puget Sound area. This forum gives us an opportunity to hear how other regions facing similar challenges have developed successful and workable strategies to address them.
Learn how San Diego voters passed a $14 billion transportation package last year with 67% approval, how Denver developed a wide coalition of community support for a $4.7 billion light rail measure, and how Vancouver B.C. passed a $4 billion road, transit and marine transportation package in 2003 with 68% approval.
Our panel consists of Pat Jacobsen, CEO, TransLink (Vancouver B.C.'s regional transit and roads agency), Erik Bruvold, Campaign Manager, Yes on Proposition A (San Diego's road and transit funding measure), and Greg Kolomitz, Campaign Co-Chair, Yes on FasTracks (Denver's light rail proposal).
The event will be held Friday, September 9, from 7:30-9:00 am and will take place in Great Room Two at the W Hotel in downtown Seattle (1112 Fourth Avenue).
