Cascadia Center Film Premiere
How Do We Get There From Here? A Transportation Future for the Puget Sound Region
Join Discovery Institute's
Cascadia Center for a wine and cheese event premiering our new film exploring the transportation challenges in Central Puget Sound. The film is a documentary version of the report,
How Do We Get There From Here?, which was released in 2002.
The film – produced and narrated by independent filmmaker Jeff Gentes in close collaboration with the Cascadia Center – describes the major issues facing our region's transportation system. The film sets out the system's major problems, suggests potential solutions, and provides informed commentary from local officials, transportation experts, and civic leaders.
In his film career, Mr. Gentes has served as executive producer for a dozen Wings OverŪ America projects, including one in British Columbia. He is an award-winning producer, director, and editor who has worked in public television for many years. His productions cover a broad range of topics, including Graham Kerr's Kitchen and Cucina Amore. He also served as national project director for two PBS outreach specials related to child care and AIDS, and received a number of industry awards for innovative PBS-related promotion and advertising campaigns.
